Martha Stewart loves black pepper. She loves it so much that she put a ton of it in some cookies. Skeptical, but strong in my faith of Martha's recipes, I decided to try them out. Here is what you need.
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Mix the butter and sugar in an electric mixer.
Add the dry ingredients... slowly.
Don't overmix. This looks yummy.
Turn it out onto parchment paper (or wax).
Roll it into a log. Make a few poop jokes.
Roll it up and chuck it in the fridge overnight.
Spread out some sugar next to it the next morning.
Spread 'er out. Sprinkle with black pepper. Seriously. You'll like it. Pop them in the oven.
Take them out; transfer them to a cooling rack.
These cookies turned out great. I mean it. Absolutely fantastic. The perfect accompaniment to tea or coffee. Everyone who tried them liked them. They are going in my permanent repertoire! Thanks, Martha!
your step-shots make Tadware proud!!!
ReplyDeletei was able to try one of these cookies. i remember thinking: if little girls are made of "sugar, spice, and all things nice"... i want to be whatever girl this cookie represents: dark, sexy sweet edge, with a breath of spiced mocha
