Are The Cows in Ohio Different?

As a New York native, it never fails to amaze me that I've been living in Ohio for over 30 years. Shopping for clothes here is terrible, but when it comes to cows, corn or tomatoes, it's a different story!

I came across Snowville Creamery first at our neighborhood coffee shop and then at our local farmer's market. Being lactose intolerant, I was very hesitant to taste Snowville's extremely fresh, organic milk, but the owner, Warren Taylor, convinced me that his milk wouldn't give a tummy ache. He said that most milk, even most (big name) organic milk is over pasteurized and good, as well as bad bacteria is killed. "Try this milk," he said, and let me know what happens. Well, what happened was that not only did the milk taste fantastic, there was no stomach ache whatsoever! This weekend, when Mr. Taylor set up his ice cream maker outside our local coffee shop, I couldn't resist a taste. Yum! What a difference. Now I can make my "Glacial Mochas" with real, fresh, organic milk from Ohio, grass-fed cows.
